Hi all, I bought a 2005 Sport without cruise, do you think I could buy a used 2005 steering wheel with cruise controls and replace my current steering wheel and add cruise that way? What other parts would I need, if this would even work? Thanks, BC |

As far as a few months ago the dealer could not Add cruise to my 2006 CRD so they got me another CRD with cruise. I told them when I bought it that not having cruise was NOT an option, at the time they assured me it could be added. I put 850miles on the first CRD and they had to give me a brand new CRD to fix the Cruise problem. The kits to add cruise are only for the Gassers and I think there is wiring missing on yours that cannot be ordered. Your only option might be to get averything needed out of a junk yard but you will need more than just a steering wheel and good luck finding a CRD in the junk yard. |

I would e-mail the guys at jparts.com and see if they would be able to get the parts in that you need....whatever the Mopar price or normal dealer price would be for those items they will charge minus 30%, I believe if memory serves correctly. They might be able to help you out with that CRD/Cruise wiring issue. But you are right the gassers do come pre-wired for the Cruise control, mine (2006 Sport) doesn't have Cruise but the dealer said that I could add it to mine at anytime I wanted. |
