i have the factory cd/radio in my 2003 liberty and for some reason on ANY cd i play (store bought or made via my computer) tracks 3 - 5 will always play with alot of static. i can take the cd to any other cd player and all the tracks will fine. is there any way to clean the inside of the player to reduce this issue? |

They make cd's that you put in there to clean the "laser." You could also use some compressed air, but it may damage it if its to much pressure. |

my 03 kj cd player would die every couple of months. My dealer's solution you ask? Install a new one! Never was there an attempt to look for the deeper cause. The service advisor duriing the second install, simply told me the factory units are junk. Beat that won't make the next jeep commercial! |

My stock 6 cd in dash changer crapped out twice. had to wait like 2 mos. to get the cds back from repair. Now it's out of warranty & WHEN it goes again I'll buy a Crutchfield unit. And this time I'll rip it apart and take my own darn cds out! |

My last KJ's (in my signature pic, the red one!) headunit had a problem with "freezing". The CD player would stop in the middle of the CD, and the entire headunit would become completely unresponsive. I would try to turn the ignition off, turn it back on, sometimes that would help, sometimes it wouldn't. It would always do it while the dealership was closed too. |

When I press the fast foward button it resets all my settings on the radio. My friends figured this out and like to hear me swear at them every time they threaten to press it. |

My headunit is on order right now. The existing one is so dusty it no longer accepts any CD ("Disc Error") and the ones that got in would be scratched by the loading mechanism |

My CD player stopped working - wouldn't play or eject the CD. I removed it and unplugged, plugged it back in and it started working again. Been fine since. |
