I just bought the 03 KJ in my signature last week. It has 53000 miles and I want to switch it over to a full synthetic oil on the next change. I will probably go with the Amsoil stuff and filter, but I was wondering if any kind of flush was recommended also before switching? I'm sure if I just drain the oil and remove the filter it will be just fine, right? Am I worrying to much about this? Thanks, I have never used a synthetic before and your knowledge is appreciated.

Try some of the Amsoil Engine Flush before switching over to Amsoil. PM me for more info.

I switched over to synthetic on my old '89 Chevy pickup truck at about 90,000 miles and 9 years old, never had a problem. Drove it to 15 years old and 160,000 miles and still never had a leak, or problem. Did not use a flushing agent, have heard it can cause short term problems.
