Post subject:  Bodylift verses new jeep anti rollingsystem

I have the following question.

I am about to order the Frankenlift ll lift set plus the A-arms.

The guy who is going to put it for me on the car, wonders and is asking here by, if that new jeep anty rolling system works well with the Frankenlift ll :?:

Any answers or known problems with this combination of Frankenlift ll and the jeep liberty 2006 model, i would like to hear of. :D

Is the anti-rolling system a sticker on your steering wheel that says dont turn at 45 mph?

No its not a sticker Miah,

Its the new Jeep electronic anti rolling system standard from 2006 here in Europe.

Dont know about the US.

What i do know, that you cant turn it off.

I hope this answer is usefull to you Miah.

Hi Monique,

I think it should not be a problem, it will probably be even better to have the ESP when lifted as it will help to keep you out of trouble.

Better loose the 17 inch wheels and get the standard 16inch with BF Goodrich at's, these will give you extra grip and protection when you are in Norway and Marocco, and will still give good on-road handling and comfort in the parts between.
The standard tyres are useless in these conditions as they are road tyres and don't have the extra protection layers in the sidewalls.

It should not be a problem. The "anti-roll system", or ESP, or whatever else Jeep names these programs are just that, computer programs designed to sense wheel slippage and apply/reduce throttle and brakes accordingly to assist in keeping a vehicle under control.

Has anyone put bigger tires on an 06 yet? That would be the only thing I would worry about. Lift should hurt it at all. It doesnt have a clue that its been raised up higher. It will still act as it did before. But bigger tires??? :?:

TO Dutchy and the others.

The 17" wheels are standard for a 2006 limited version, here in Holland.

Here we have to pay extra for 16" :-)r

And yes im going to change the tires before i leave, but the car is still new, and im riding it in on the originals.

According to heather, the set will be here within a week yeaaaah!!!

I will keep you informed.
