I was wondering what will happen to the jeep if I dont get it an alignment done after it is lifted. I tried a lot of stores here firestone, goodyear, and even ma and pa stores which would not touch the jeep because its been modified. Does anyone have any suggestions where to take it? |

They may not be able to get the Camber into spec with the stock upper arms, but any tire alignment shop should be able to get it close. (I went to Discount Tires - they did a great job, they also had the spring compressor to help with the lift install) |

Knowing the dealers around here they will report it to DC. Especially Tyson motors here. I will try Schaumburg Jeep. I have talked to them before and they are really cool people there. The only thing I need to do is get tires first because Schaumburg Jeep is about an hour and a half away from where I live. |

I got the Michelin place to do mine. They made me sign a waiver saying that they would not warranty the allignment. It was $50. |

...WHAT? Why? This would make the tire wear how? Is this before a lift or after? So, stock lift with stock stock and stock...still able to get it into spec alignment? I'm asking because...My last vbisit to the Dealership was about the excessive wear on the insides (not where the air is) of the tires. Tech said it was out of alignment from the factory. I thought it looked a bit out. The front tires angled outward at the bottoms. Not sure if Im gettin blown up the rear or not. Do Renegades have a different stance? I'm still getting uneven wear on the inside of the left front. Was mostly on the right front before the Dealer alignment. The right side is fine now. They are shredding my Revos! Christopher |

They said since its been modified they cannot give the lifetime alignment. Which firestone is by you? I just might have to make that trip to get the lifetime since everyone is charging from 90 to 120 dollars for one time only. |

I insist.... at least for the first alignment take it to Schaumburg Jeep If you want peace of mind, take it there. Besides, all those guys have their own rigs and they do wheel them often... Well... that is what I think - maybe a trip from Joliet might be holding you back $ 69 +$ 20 in gas - still you come out ahead... |

KJ-BOL I am going to Schaumburg to get alignment for the Jeep after I put new tires on sometime this week or next week. You are right on the traveling part. |

Littlehorn All lifts change the front geometry, but lift doesn't really impact toe-in and caster (the install process may but they can be adjusted back) - camber is harder because the lift took away some of the adjustment window - if they can get it into factory spec's - they'll be at the limit - not the center. The only real fix to that is Jeeping AL's A arm's - they're a little longer - they allow the tire to be more vertical. My MTR's have 9000+ miles at the limit of the factory spec and the tire wear is uniform. Your tire wear does sound like the camber is off - but you don't list a lift and factory ride height should be adjustable to factory specs, but you might need to try a different alignment shop. |
