I found this thread: http://www.jeepkj.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3618 Do you all believe that would cut down on air flow enough to harm anything? I want all the air I can get to the A/C and tranny cooler. Ive already bought the material for $6 at walmart. If I decide not to do it, then its only $6. |

the idea is good, but i have never really seen that many bugs get into the radiator slots to where you couldnt go to the carwash and spray the trash and bugs out that way. the guy that painted his silver didnt look to bad though! you can always take the mesh off if it doesnt do any good or overheats, etc.... let us know what you decide! |

I did it, its dark now so pics will not be any good. It was alot harder than I thought it would be. I had to file the clips down some so it would snap back on. Ill decide if I like it or not. I can take it back off in 5sec if I dont. |

Shouldn't slow the air at all I would bet. I might try that, the dang butterflys are a mess here in the spring and they make a real mess of the radiator. |

Too bad about the cat. Could you find the owner after you ran it over? Oldnavy has had that on his CRD since last fall. Of course he installed it to keep junk out of the air box and filter since we don't have the snorkle design like you do. He seems quite happy with the arrangement. |

He seems quite happy with the arrangement. I am the owner? My cat is to smart to allow someone to hit it. He knows to leave as soon as someone drives up or even opens a door. Idk about it. I has to push the grill on fairly hard to get the screws in. Im afraid on a really hot day the tabs holding the bottom may break. |

Ok, last night when I put the screen on, I layed one big piece over teh grill and tried to put the insert back in the grill. This is the way you DONT do it. It is way to hard to put back together and put way to much pressure on the grill after you put it back on the jeep. The correct way to do it is to cut individual pieces of screen for each slot,(7 Slots, hehe) and make sure they overlap each other. I wish I would of gotten pics, but I get alittle to excited when im doing stuff like this and forget. This works out alot better and doesnt put as much stress on the grill.
They need to be bigger than this. Those were test sections.
