Ok so here it goes... my mom picked up an 06 sport 3 weeks ago and has had electrical problems ever since. First the dome lights worked intermittantely, then the radio and now the passenger side door lock switch. First the dealer said the dome lights worked and they would order her a new radio. She had it back for the second time today and they forgot about the radio being replaced, realized the dome lights were the tip of the iceberg and "had to look into this some more".

She's just irritated that all this and she hasn't had it 3 weeks. She also will not take no from the stealerhsip, LOL I think she has her sales rep on speed dial "pleasantly" reminding him the sale doesn't stop after she drove it off the lot.

All this after they forgot to put all of her grille together when she picked it up, it was missing the smaller inside "slats".

Has anyone else had any problems similar with any of their KJ's for that matter???

Thanks!
John

Did they have the Body Control Module checked out???? It could be going on the fritz causing all of those electrical glitches....I know there was a recall for it too at some point... I think it was for the 05s...but maybe the 06s too....

The recall was for new programming for the BCM and it covered '06 as well. The specific problem covered by that recall was excessive battery drain while parked but I think they solved some other problems too. It does sound like it has something to do with the BCM with some many system issues. It doesn't sound like a very smart dealer. I think I would look around for someone else if that were practical.

If things get too out of hand with the dealer, take it to another or if that is not an option, call the Jeep Customer Service number, which can be found on the Jeep website and have a chat with them. Sometimes the dealer will need a kick from the home office to get rolling on these things. Trust me, I know, lol...
