i lost my rear wiper yesterday off my 2003 liberty so this evening i went out to buy a replacement... the store's big book of wiper blades only had the front listed (driver and passenger sides) and didn't list the size of the rear wiper blade... does anyone know the size on this? |

It is 11 inches, but has a odd mounting connector. I bought an 11 inch booted winter blade that I could not get to fit the arm. You may have to get one from Jeep. |

I had the same problem. So I just switched the blade piece out. Advance Auto didn't carry it. If anyone knows... |

YES MEN! last year some one took mine off the back and also took the peice that locks it into place. I was never able to find an 11" blade so i used a 13" blade and it actually works better then the 11" blade. BUT, you will need to get the locking peice from jeep. I went to use the peices that came with the blade and it did not do CRAP for me. I am using a bread tie and it works WELL. I am too CHEEP/LAZY to go to jeep and but the clip. |

what is this locking piece? the rear wiper fixture uses a 'hook' attachment... |

I tried refills, etc. but let me tell you from my experience, save yourself the trouble and buy the OEM from somewhere cheap online like Tenafly when you order some other stuff one day. I think it was $11 IIRC and a helluva lot less hassle. JP |

the hook that is on the wiper set up locks the blade in place. That thing I no longer have. And the peices that come with the blades will not work to lock it in place. |

I just ordered online from Autobarn for the 11" rear wiper. Will let you know when it arrives if it fits and is easy to put on. I think it cost $5.96 plus shipping. |

I couldn't find an 11 inch or what ever it was so I bought a longer one and shortened it myself. |

I bought the 11" Trico wiper blade, popped off the plastic Trico adapter and reused the stock plastic adapter. Pretty much all wiper blades have the same metal pivot bar in the middle, just different clip on adapters. |

How do you pop the old blad off the arm? That's a funky looking piece of plastic. I don't want to break it. Any diagram or picture would be helpful. Why DC doesn't mention this in the owner manual is beyond me. |

Follow the video for removal from the wiper from the arm . As for getting the plastic piece off the old wiper to the new wiper, I just angled it where I could hold one side with my thumb or finger then applied pressure to the other side until it popped of the wiper frame. Look at the pivot area closely, you'll see how it "snaps" in sort of like the wheels on toy cars. Or you could just get a stock wiper from the dealer. |

When i tried the 11" ones they all had a different style connector, but i bought a 12" ANCO wiper blade at auto zone and it works great, snaped right in and i didn't need any pieces off the old blade and even still fits into the indention on the tailgate. |

Has anyone just gone to the dealer parts counter and picked up a replacement wiper blade specifically designed for the Liberty? I did and it only cost about $10.00 - The huge plus is it installs in less than 5 minutes and doesn't need any duct tape to hold it on. |
