Has anybody received a notice or info on the most recent ball joint recall? Has anybody replaced them recently at a dealership If so, is anything new or different from the old ball joint design? Does anybody have a new ball joint part number? The lastest part number I have is 5114037AI installed on Aug 16, 2006. |

HE DID SAY IF YOU LBJ'S ARE IN BAD SHAPE NOW BRING IT IN HE CAN GET IT DONE . |

Yes, I had a colleague who had to get his done due to SAFETY. He called DC and was advised that they would re-imburse him for it AND if necessary REPLACE THEM AGAIN if they were not the latest RECALL spec. They were issuing letters this week. Standby for more info as ALL KJ's are affected by this as I understand. If you BJ are going bad, replace them but call DC and see if they will re-imburse you. Maybe even for Moogs installed on your own accord?!?! |

I stopped by the dealership over the weekend, Moogs in hand, and attempted to get them to perform "just" the labor. No dice, so I put 'em in myself. |

Have any pics of them? Are they greaseable? |

They are the Dakota Moogs fix ball joints, yes they are greasable. I don't think you're tracking what I'm saying. |

When you get the letter from DC, call em w/ your receipt for the Moogs and see if they will compensate you partially at least. Who knows what the 'new' DC BJ's will be... |

The 2005 parts manual shows the LBJ part no as 5114 037AC which leads me to believe that 5114 037AI installed Aug 16th is an updated version. Whether it is the definitive recalled version is yet to be determined. Standby. |
