Post subject:  Where is the blower motor resistor block?

My fan does not work on the first three settings, only the last #4, which is full blast. I have checked the fuses and all seem to be okay, unless there are fuses in an unknown location that I don't know about.

I called the dealer and was told about this blower motor resistor block. He could not tell me where to locate it until he talked to a mechanic.

If there is something I am overlooking about this fan thing, please let me know!!

The fan does not work with any other settings.
My Jeep is an 2002, if is it something common with this specific year.

Thanks so much.

This is a common problem with Liberties. I replaced my resistor block a month ago. It was around $20-$30 for the part and I just did it myself. The resistor block is behind the glove box, it's a 5 minute job to change.

Thanks so much for the quick reply :D . I'll go the dealer today and pick up the resistor block, as they said they had one in stock.

You guys are the best, and, of course, the gals also.
