Does anyone have experience to tell me if rubber shock boots capture water and end up damaging the shock, or if they keep the dirt away from the shock's rod and water isn't a problem? I've wondered of they help or are just for looks. Thanks, Ron |

I called Rancho regarding the boots and was told running without boots would not shorten like of shock(has lifetime warranty anyway) |

Some people told me when i go tmine that moisture can build up in there and cause rust and what not but then i considered all the mud and water i will be driving through and the possabilities of all that gettin in to the shock itself so i went ahead and put them on. Everyone has there own opinion on this. |

I have seen them hold mud and moisture after water and mud crossings. I don't run them for that reason. |
