For the power supply, Should I buy a circuit breaker (20 amp) or are there provisions already there for for this? I have not bought a controller yet but plan on buying a Tekonsha prodogy and it requires a circuit breaker or fuse for the power supply. My 04 sport is did not come with a tow package..Thanks.

Yes you need to buy the circuit breaker. I put mine up by the battery.

On my CRD I put it on the mounting screw for a wiring bundle on the drivers side firewall up under the windshield. Well protected and saved drilling holes.

When I've had brake controllers professionally installed they've used separate 40 amp circuit breakers on the battery line. Never had a problem with them and I've also since made several similar installations myself. All were for big trailers. Your total current drain might be less, but I know these work. Also, when a fuse goes, you'll need to replace it before your brakes will work
