No, its was an option on all libbys before 06. I do not know what you are talking about with how strong google is? |

I have been meaning to ask for a while why the 06 no longer had the option? I have hear that the break assisted limited slip is actually pretty functional in most cases. The next question is...can you install a locker or LS in an 06 without messing up the ESP? Hmmm. |

The next question is...can you install a locker or LS in an 06 without messing up the ESP? Hmmm. We think that the trac-lok in a vehicle with ESP is a not a big help since the Traction Control acts much like a LSD. If you did put a LSD in a 2006 it might work better than one in a pre ESP KJ. It will apply the Brake to the opposite wheel for you instead of having to do the brake trick with your feet. It also would only brake the wheel that is slipping instead of both...just a guess on my part. |

Yes lets hash this over one more time shall we? From what I have learned, I dont believe a locker will mess up ESP, search around and learn how they work and how the Electronc Braking System works and decide for yourself though. As far as I can tell as long as you dont weld your spider gears together you should be okay. Of course this is just my opinion. There are plenty of those going around. If you use googles advanced search http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en you can search the lostkjs.com domain for whatever you are looking for such as ESP +locker or esp +06 I find it works much better than the search function on this site. |

Traclok has nothing to do with the command trac. Command trac is a type of 4wheel drive in the libby. Trac lok is in the rear diff and puts torque to a wheel when it slips. Its called a Limited Slip. |

With command trac you get 2wd, neutral, 4hi, and 4lo. With the selec trac transfer case, you get 2wd, neutral, 4hi part time, 4hi full time, and 4lo. So its just a different transfer case is all. Trac lock refers to a limited slip differential and command trac refers to the transfer case. The trac lock LSD will wear out with only road use over time. With heavy offroad use and lots of the go pedal I would say you could burn it up fairly quick if you werent careful. Then you are left with an open diff and a good excuse to upgrade |
