Saturday evening, about sunset, I get home to see 5 of my cattle wandering up the hill away from their assigned pasture. I let off my passenger at the house for a change of footware before we head out for a late evening snack and I head on foot across the pasture to get the cows back in. Halfway there the left knee decides it is time to take a long awaited vacation. With the aid of a heavy broken branch and a lot of hopping I am able to get the cows back in and fix the torn down gate and with the help of the cell phone I am able to get the passengers attention, have them find an old set of crutches from the closet, and deliver them to the field and I finally hobble a 1/4 mile over rough ground back to the house. What I didn't get done was to fix the connection to the electric fence that powers that particular part of the pasture where the gate got torn down. So next morning I have 6 wayward cows and the knee is in worse shape than the previous night. What does this have to do with Jeep Liberty's? Well with the help of the crutches I get in the jeep, put it in 4 wheel and off I go through the stubble on a roundup. I get the 6 cows back in, fix the gate with repairs and tools I brought along, and re-electify the fence. I could have done it in the PU I suppose but it would not have been as much fun. My only regret.....besides the knee......is that I had just washed the Jeep! |

This should go in the Liberty pamphlet!!! One more use. And for those dealers that claim the Libby isn't trail worthy, It's also pasture worthy!!! |

You should put a P.A. speaker in there, I learned from experience, if you start telling jokes over it they will chase you. |

That story is absolutely priceless! They should feature it in a jeep ad. Of course the story needs some tuning. We'll make your liberty frankenlifted, and your livestock would be mountain goats... deep in a rock garden! |
