This is second time I've left in park with it running (and downpoaring) and tried to get something from the back door. It's locked. I have to shut off the engine and then go do it. Can you do it with the engine running? |

The keyword in your statement is "downpouring". If you have the rear wiper on, you can't open the back door. Something I often do myself. Can't have that wiper flopping around with no window there to wipe |

I'm not 100% certain but I believe that what you're running into is that all your doors are not unlocking when the driver's door opens. If you open your door with the KJ in drive, and then put the Jeep in park, the only door that should unlock is the drivers door. However, if the Jeep is in park and you then open the drivers door and it's the only one that unlocks, then I think you have to go in and set up the option for all doors to unlock when the driver's door opens. If you have the overhead console then I think you can set the option in a setting there. I'll double check and post back in a little while. |

I open mine all the time with the engine running. I have noticed that I cannot open the window when the jeep is in D with the key fob. I like to have it open when Im driving sometimes and I must stop and it put it in P then use the key fob to open it. |

Not to hijack but speaking of flopping wipers... Saw an suv in the rain the other day. The rear w/s wiper was obviously broken or spun on it's shaft. Instead of wiping the window, it was 180 degrees out of sink and was wiping the bottom of the door including the license plate! |

I wonder if he has his windshield wipers wash the hood while he's at it!! |

I hate that ding. Actually the only thing I dislike about the Libby is the autolocks and all the dings. |

Dingy gone. Remember to unlatch it before lowering the window again. |

I used the evic to turn off auto locks and I push the latch in like Marlon_JBT said. You can also hit the step button the evic to make it go away. I have to do that everytime I start the jeep with the cragars since they dont have the pressure sensors. When i decide if Im going to keep the wheels+tires, i may buy some more sensors off ebay since they are so cheap. |

Cacher, you were probably laughing at me last winter. My rear wiper got loose and was washing the body along with the window. It went back and forth, but forth a little more and back a little less with each swipe. Eventually it was wiping half the window and stopping at the spare tire. To fix, there's a small flap on the wiper at the pivot point. Just flip it up and tighten the bolt. Fortunately I learned about the flap two minutes shy of pulling off the wiper with my bare hands and claiming manufacturer defect! As for driving with the glass up, as was mentioned in this thread: pop the glass and flip the latch with your finger. The ding will be deactivated. Before closing the glass, unflip the latch with your finger and close the glass as usual (use the door handle or key fob if needed to unlock the latch, I can't remember if this is needed). I only ride with the glass open on short trips. I think I read on this board about problems with the arms if you hit a bump. A solid brace as a twin for the arm was recommended. I recommend deactivating the latch, take a short drive, and figure out if you need a brace. I just typed a lot and forgot what the original post was about. This is the LeSabre rollers thread, right? |
