I paid 165 for all 5 windows, no front windshield strip. Spent some time lurking over at tintdude.com, and they will not discuss price on the forums. Seems like price depends a lot on the quality of the tint and also where you are. I also have a lifetime warranty, which i've already taken advantage of. I had a small bubble on the cargo area window; took it back in and got the tint replaced no questions asked. I might have paid a little more (or maybe not), but the service i received was well worth it. Like most everything else, you get what you pay for.

What % are you getting to match the backs?

In this area that's actually about par or a little lower for the price. Also this guy comes recomended and I don't wanna have to bring it back again and again "till they get it right". The tint kit runs around $20-$30 on eBay so I figure tint plus about an hour's labor and the price is about right. I have no idea what the percentage is, I told him I want it to match the rears.

Update:
It's done! 15% tint. Looks a tiny bit darker than the backs but the grade below was too light and the next grade is 5% or Limo. Really black. Plus evidently it will lighten a bit with sun exposure. It does have a lifetime warranty so I'm not worried. Looks great though! :D

Funny, but from the inside it doesn't seem to be tinted much at all. Looks nice from the outside though!

Prices are going to vary across the country depeding on how many other shops are in the area ( compitetion ), type of tint used, warranty and quality of work so on and so forth. I have been tinting windows for 12 years and have owned a couple tint shops. Factory tint is about 20% so that will be your closest match. As far as tinting the front windsheild, you may want to check with your local law enforcement agencies, some are stricter than others and may make you peel it off on the side of the road while they are writing you a citation as well as % used. Most states don't allow any darker than 35% on the front windows but most of the time don't hassle you about tint unless they want to have a reason to pull you over.

Not windshield, just sides. And as far as I know most states have laws stating driver's side windows must be untinted. Used to get pulled over in my Camaro all the time. Of course, the car was also all black, all decals and badges were removed and it had the full bodyworks package. When I'd roll down the window cop would look in and see a 40 something year old instead of a teenager and usually let me go. (unless I was already getting the speeding ticket!)

Just thought I would throw that in there, you wouldn't believe how many people do ask about tinting the front windshield. I have put several strips across the top and bottom of windshields to help eliminate glare but again, state laws vary and should be checked if considered. You're right, usually when they see it's not some punk kid they have a tendancy to relax a little and send you on your way. Glad to hear they didn't hassle you in your Camaro.
