I want to activate the little orange indicator light that would normally illuminate if you have the oversees vehicle with rear fog lights - (green indicator in photo is front fogs for the US models, orange is the one I want to light from the european models with the rear fogs)
see this post: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=123839&highlight=#123839

Anyone know how I can get it to illuminate when I turn on my rear mounted Hellas??

I take it that isn't a pic of your dash since it is KMH. I don't know if US versions have that light in the cluster or not. My dads Mercedes has that, they are considered rear fog lights for bad weather. He has a seperate switch on the dash for the front and rear fogs. Maybe somone from overseas can shed some light on where the switch is for the rear fogs.

Well, looking at my '03 FSM it looks like there is a relay inthe junction block that is connected to the BCM on the export models. Do you know if your instrument cluster even has that light?

Ahh, looks like Alpnst was posting at the same time I was typing :D

Yup, that pic is from SS-Virus's post.
If you look at your dash real close with a bright flashlight you can see that you do have that indicator, it just never lights. I'm assuming it's cheaper for DC to manufacture all dashes and wiring harnesses the same to save money and just hook up whatever is needed for that particular country. People on here have seemed to prove that as they have found spare wiring for things such as the Renegade roof lights under the trim on non-Renegade models and so on. I'm hoping that someone could just tell me what color wire in the loom I have to apply power to to get that indicator to light (I hope it's that simple and I don't blow the BCM!) and where it is. I don't think I need the relly as I already have the lights hooked up through a Hella relay. I just want to energize the indicator when they are on.

Took another look at the FSM and it does show the rear fog indicator in the wiring diagram, but the only wire colors called out are the same as in the diagrams for other parts of the insturment cluster and I think are associated with the PCI bus to the BCM. Best bet may be to pull the cluster and check the wiring for that slot; that would also let you see if there is a bulb there to energize. If nothing else you can trace it out to the connector and see if you can find it that way. Wiring it to the junction block and installing the relay there might be easier - it looks to be a standard relay.

Good luck :D
