Making a rear cargo self, need some input.

Ive seen a few threads go though about making a rear cargo self and I think Im going to make me one. Ill just use plywood but I need to know where everyone gets the carpet they put over it. Thanks a bunch!

If you have a Joanns Fabrics near you, they normally stock black or dark grey carpet that works. Thats what my brother used when he built a subwoofer box.

That's all I have left to do too. I was thinking of calling a couple of stereo shops and see what they had for carpet. Haven't got around to it yet.

Hmm, no, I never heard of a Joanns Fabrics.. Ill look around and see what I can find..

Hmm, well, I found a Joanns Fabrics about 20min from me and called them to see if they had any type of carpets like you would find in a car in a light taupe or charcoal color. The guy sounded lame and acted like he had no clue what I was talking about..

Any other ideas?

walmart used to sell rolls of automotive carpet in different colors... i don't think they carry it anymore... you might try like autozone, or one of the autoclones (advance, oreily, etc.) or like someone else suggested, a car stereo shop.

I got mine from ebay. Used it to wrap a speaker box a while back for in the garage.

Just do a search for "speaker box carpet"

Lots of sellers sell it by the linear foot, so you can get just the amount you will need, and for preety cheap.
