I'm doing some research on which shocks to use with the Daystar 2.5" lift.
I found the DT-8000 shocks. A lot of people seem to like the DT-3000s, though. Looking at the DT website, it looks like you get a lot more in the 8000. Here are the features as listed on their site:

DT3000 SERIES = $40.77
* Twin Tube
* Large 1 3/8" Piston
* Limited Lifetime warranty
* Cellular closed cell foam
* Double wall Construction
* Double welded for added strength
* Baked enamel finish or high-tech chrome plating

DT8000 - PRERUNNER = $47.50
* High velocity, speed sensitive valving
* Massive 1 5/8"Piston Assembly
* Large 11/16" chrome shaft
* Teflon wiper seal
* Bump stop
* Double welded
* Urethane bushings
* Twin Tube
* Added oil capacity
* Cellular gas
* Limited Lifetime warranty

Looks like you get speed-sensitive valving, larger piston, more oil, and a compression bump stop for less than $7 per shock. Seems like a great deal - does anyone have any experience with these? I was wondering which shocks you are upgrading to?
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Most upgrade to the Rancho 17004. Trail test many times and proven to last. 20 dollars more but get what you pay for.

I've only seen negative reports on DT shocks, and only positive reports on Ranchos. (My Ranchos are working great--I upgraded from some nasty Pro-Comps.)

Check out my KJ Links and Parts site (URL below) for some price options on the Rancho 17004s.
