Can somebody tell me how to install the Rusty's exhaust system (flowmaster 50) because I can't seem to get the muffler to fit into the inlet tube! (no instructions came with it) Isn't there supposed to be another flange that comes with the kit that mounts on the inlet side of the muffler and bolts up to the outlet flange of the car? |

If it looks like the pic on their website, I believe you must cut the connector off the jeeps exhaust and either clamp or weld the muffler onto the jeeps exhaust. Ive never installed one of these nor seen one, Im just going by the pic on his website. If you are unsure then give them a call. Thats kinda ignorant they do not include instructions IMHO.. |

Yeah, im starting to think the same that you have to cut off the flange and weld/clamp the muffler on, but im hoping someone else with the same system will chime in to show how they had theirs installed. I'll give Rustys a call tomorrow to reassure things though, thanks for the response jeepjeepster |

Rather than cut off the stock flange, just go to the local parts store, they should stock generic flange tubes, should be around $10. That way you don't destroy your stock system in the event you need/want to put it back on. I'm suprised they sell the kit without it. |
