The battery in my 02 croaked so went to replace it and noticed the battery tray has a crack in it right about where the retaining bolt is resulting in a loose fit of the battery thanks David |

Short of fabricating a new one, I would try to cut a couple slots somewhere on it to slip a small ratchet strap thru and keep it held down. |

pixeldzn, That sounds like a plan and much better securing method that the original. As this happened on the road I used duct tape to keep it from moving around till I got home. Was really surprised how flimsy that thing is ,the one on my '95 Cherokee is considerably more robust. Thanks for the tip David |
