I managed to install my OTIS and it looks good.

Does anyone have instruction manual for the OTIS?
I'm looking to program the homelink function.

thanks all

thanks. :D

Do I have to calibrate the compass ? When I press and hold reset, it gives me "VAR" option with numbers 1-14. What's that for?

Tell me where you are and I can tell you which zone to pick.

You look like your right on the line in the SM between 10 and 11. I could be wrong but looks closer to 11.

what's wierd is the SM looks like 11 and the owners manual looks like 10. Probably can't go wrong with either.

I'm sure it will not make a difference.

ANOTHER question

I followed the manual as mentioned above to program the homelink.

I pressed the two outside buttons, or the only one button with ignition on or off and nothing flashes and no icons appear.

Is there a trick outside from the manual ?

I just did this an hour ago.

Turned my KJ on--engine running
Pressed both outside homelink buttons until it said channels cleared.
held up garage remote to the lower left of evic
pressed garage remote and evic homelink button at the same time until the evic said "transmitting".
done.

Well I had the jeep running. It's a 2003 rocky mountain and a 2000 lhs OTIS overhead.

It has 3 buttons with 1 dot, 2 dots, and 3 dots.

I pressed # 1+3, 2+3, 1+2, for 20 seconds+ more without anything flashing.

Any ideas ?

Well I have tried every button and I don't get the flashing symbol

Here's a hint:

Every button I press, I get a sound, but when I press a Homelink button then I get no sound.

Is this normal ?

I have been thinking about your issue. Could be one (or all) of a couple of things:
1. Homelink functions do not work on yours for some reason (worn out).
2. Not installed correctly?
3. Could be a glitch with crossing the brands. I had a 04 EVIC from a GC and it would always show right rear door open if that door was opened after the KJ was running even though it was firmly closed. I now have an EVIC from an 04 Libby and the only thing that doesn't work is the TPMS and that's just because I haven't bought the sensors yet. Maybe the Libby cpu is a bit touchy about other EVIC/OTIS???

hmm....interesting

But is the homelink actually dependent on the Libby?

Isn't it its own system? In other words, does the Libby allow or disallow homelink to work?

Here's another question:

The OTIS unit I bought had only the wiring harness to connect to the datalink connector under the dash.

Is there a separate antenna or something like that for the homelink?

I don't know how OTIS's are set up. My EVIC only has one wiring harness and another for the dome light. Other than that I am as lost as your are now. Sorry, maybe someone else can chime in. I am stumped!
