My lease is just about up, looking to get into an 06 or 07 liberty in the next couple weeks. I've talked to a couple dealers and the best offer i've seen is 289 a month with $2500 down on a Liberty Sport with minimal options. I KNOW i can find a better deal then that, on my 03' Freedom edition with every option available i'm only paying $240 and didnt have to put anything down. Whats everyone else getting and why do i have the feeling the dealers are trying to bend me over? |

For sure there are better deals out there... I see advertisements for $189 a month for a tin can version of the Liberty on my local TV. You could always try to work two dealers against each other to get the best possible price you can. |

It seems to me that dealers aren't as anxious to lease as they were a few years ago. I believe it's one of the reasons that Ford is in such trouble now. |

Leasing has changed, you will find that vehicles leased now have a lower residual value and a higher down and monthly payment, manufacturers have found that they can not sell returned vehicles for a price over residual and make another profit of a twice sold vehicle. Bob |

I'm leasing for 39 months at 650.00$ a month. It's not as bad as it sounds, my wife traded in her 04 drango that was 750.00 a month, she carring negitive equity from 5 cars ago. We decided when we leased the kj, that this would be it for a long time. We now have 3 nice newer cars that sould last a long time. The oldest we have is the 04 ranger and I have only put 9,000 miles on it. We are gonna buy out the lease, we got every thing we wanted in this kj, except I wanted a manual, and she said we need at least one auto in the driveway. The new liberty comming out doesn't appeal to me, so this 06 will do just fine. Besides, by the time I'm done modding it, chrysler won't take it back ha ha. They'll make me buy it one way or another. The durango was the first vehicle we bought that wasn't a ford or a jeep, I was against it, it was to big for two people and we sure didn't need a v8 with current gas prices. I had to buy the focus cause she couldn't afford the gas for the durango. That was my excuss, I wanted a fast and the furious anyway. I picked out the kj and she couldn't be happier, she loves this jeep and it fits her a lot better than that bus they call a durango. |

Ouch. $650? Just ouch. I'm paying $324 a month for 39 months on a '06 Renegade with all the options except the automatic tranny and the sunroof. |

Whats everyone else getting and why do i have the feeling the dealers are trying to bend me over? Wow.. that's a lot of money. Around here (where liberty's run wild), I got 2 offers today from my dealer. 250 w/no money down or 210 w/1000 down. That's for a limited w/tow package and 15k miles. I also get the military cash off also. I'm paying 200 now.. and that was for a 39 month lease. The KJ has 41k on it right now and since I found out I wasn't going to get a break on low miles use, I'm running the wheels off it. Can't wait to see how much they get for a 04 with almost 50k miles on it. Oh, same dealer will let you have a loaded sport for 98.00 a month w/ 2k down. Seen it in yesterdays paper and it's on a few billboards around town. What really has turned me against domestics now is the lowering of the mileage. Nothing worse then the least price is the same as last year but the miles allowed have dropped almost 2k miles. |

278 a month, 0 down, either 72 mos. or 84 mos, I forget. That is a long time, but I own it. 17,300 brand new out the door. plus 400 dealer prep or some such crap, but i put 0 down and delayed my 1st payment for three mos. I think I got a pretty good deal. I agree that leasing was a better deal 2 years ago.... Steve Good luck, we all need it when we enter the lot and are surrounded by vultures... |

I don't like leasing either, but it was cheaper than buying, not by much, put evey penny counts at times. Now the good part, at the end of the lease, we can buy the kj for a round 250.00 a month, so I'll just jkeep it. I'm gonna go a head and mod it so the wife can't change her mind ha ha. We got the 65th aniversery edition, it has nice wheels, moon roof, fog lights, 6 cd and color matched fender flares, so it's no stripper, it does need however, tow hooks and skid plates as it didn't have the off road package, tires and a lift are a given. |

Correction, 1999 down and 88 a month for a 07 sport from my dealer. He's still trying to get me to take one w/tow package and 1000 down for 210. Now, the honda dealer is sending me cupons (I have a 91 accord so I'm on the mailing list).. MPG on my 04 is sorry. Just filled it up last night, 210 miles on 18 gal. 12mpg isn't something to brag about. No matter how well it goes in the snow. |
