| Post subject: | Oil pressure warning light |
Last Monday on my way home from the airport my oil presuure warning light came on.I pulled into a gas station to check te oil level and it was fine. I proceeded on home and after a couple of stop and go's the light didn't come back on. I figured it had something to do with jeep sitting at the airport for a week. It didn't come back on again until this morning on my way to work. It only comes on as I about to stop and once I give it some gas and start to accelerate the light goes off. Anybody else ever have this problem or any ideas what could be causing it. |

I took it in to the dealership this morning and the problem is the oil sending unit. They also said there was an oild leak where it goes into the block so I am glad I took it in. They are in the process of replacing it so hopefully that takes care of the problem. |

Yep, just had this fixed on mine last weekend. It was the oil press. sensor. It had been leaking for a while (slowly) but recently started a steady drip when running. The light had been coming on intermittently for about a year as you described. Hasn't come back on since the sensor was replaced. |

$98 and change for the fix. Included the new sensor and labor. |

I had mine replaced a few months ago (maybe 3??) and now it appears to be going bad again. Do these parts have a warranty once replaced? Like 1 year or x amount of miles? SDS |

if you had it fixed at a dealership, then you should get a 12 month warranty on the work and parts. if you bought the part and did it yourself, then you are out of luck. |
