Thank a cop in your area...

On Monday nights' shift Colorado Springs Police Department lost a second officer in the line of duty this year. This one happened during a "routine" DUI stop down town. This goes to show there is nothing routine about any aspect of Law Enforcement (even Military LE). I work Mids as many of you know, and was on duty Monday night when this happened. The Majority of things I deal with are suspected DUI's, so it was a huge eye opener for me personally.

So please if you are the praying type, send a prayer to Officer Jordan's Family, and any other officer on the streets anywhere.

Will do Ted.

My wife was an officer for a short time. It was just a small town but I was worried every minute she was out.

Be safe and NEVER EVER let your guard down.

We'll put them into our prayers along with Senior Trooper Robert A. Hill Sr. who was run down while on a "routine" traffic stop. His family goes to church where my brother-in-law's a deacon.

I'm sorry to hear that. We just lost a deputy on the 2nd. During an interview a gun ws pulled and he was shot. The upstanding person who did it was also killed as he tried to leave and opened up and the remaining deputies who were there. In the last few months we've lost two city officers to traffic crashes. Both were Tbones and both were by people driving at very high speed.

My youngest daughter is in school for Criminal Justice and wants to work DEA. She may be safer as a marine anymore...

Be safe out there...
