I tow a few boats with mine. The biggest of which is around #2000 or so total. No big deal, just need a few more feet to stop it. |

This summer while building my deck: 16'x 8' car hauler (1500# + empty) 50, 5/4"x6"x14' deck boards 8, 2"x10"x10' pressure treated 18, 2"x6"x16' pressure treated Approx 5 or 6,000 lbs + total. She pulled it fine on city and highway roads, rough, but it was done. I wouldn't have done it without the breaks on trailer. |

I towed my bike last week. Apart from all the clanking noise from the trailer, it was like it wasn't even there. |

I pulled a large camper trailer just under the size of a 5th wheel from my friends house to his mothers(about ten miles). The Jeep has enough power to pull a heavy load but you need to have brakes on the trailer or at least hook em up. I won't be doing that again. |

I pulled this pig from Cali to Moab then to Grand Canyon and back to Cali a couple years ago. The hills were killer but it made it and survived. Loaded it was Real heavy, not sure how much though. In Moab CG.
Grand Canyon CG w/ snow falling.

NorCal to Moab. It's a hair under 2000 pounds empty, we had a weeks worth of stuff in there. It's a brick and hurts gas but nice and roomy and dry.

I've been working on my house and have a hydraulic trailer that I can load junk into and bring to the transfer station. The last time I went, the old Libby was struggling. I'm not sure how much the Lib weighs by it's self, but the Lib, trailer and load was 8784 lbs on the scale. The load it's self was just over a ton. Gonna take smaller loads from now on. |

Not me but I know a guy who towed what was sorta a YJ but mostly a rock buggie I would say in the 3500# range just for the buggie he had a moderate car hauler I want to say right at 1800# and he got about 50 miles down the highway pulled over and took the 36's off and all the gear out of the KJ put it in another truck drove like another 300 miles to Hot Spring then back on sunday went to buy a full size rig on Monday The bigger problem is not power but control he could not drive straight and when he went to stop he had to start breaking 300 yards befor he got there a sammi on a car hauler would be real close |

I have a 20 foot pontoon that weighs about 4500 lbs. It is a handful to pull, but it does ok. I also have a large pop up camper that is about 3600 lbs. |

i have one of those old early 70s dodge van conversion rvs, the cool one with the big wide single wheel not the little wussy duals. its got 33x12x16.5s on the back! anyways, its pretty much empty and i can see by google maps that its been in my front yard for a while and i wanna tow it around back, do you think there would be any difficulty doin that with my liberty? there is a slight incline at the end of the gravel driveway, rises about 4 feet in about 30 feet. |

18 foot Fun Finder Travel Trailer. About 4000 lbs. Towed easy with trailer brakes and sway control.

jcphoto20, Shouldn't be a problem if you don't have to back up the rig. I towed a dually roofing truck and it's tar trailer up a long steep hill to the closest gas station about 1/3 mile away. It was dry out and I do have a CRD but I don't think the gasser wouldn't have also done it. |

I pull a large Popup with no problem. Electric brakes and a Equlizer hitch make the job easy.[/img] |

I towed a 1989 Pontiac Sunbird on the 16' car hauler that I mentioned in an earlier post. Total weight w/ trailer: 9730 lbs. (approx 5400 lbs in trailer weight). No real troubles. |
