Ok, strange issue. 03 KJ. When at idle the heat doesn't blow that warm at all. You have to crank it up pretty good to get the cabin warm with sitting still. While moving this thing heats like crazy. It's getting to be a little annoying, I find myself turning the heat up at red lights and while sitting in traffic, than when I am moving again I have to turn it down because I am on FIRE!???? Can anyone point me in the right direction to figure this thing out??? I'm new to this KJ thing, only had it for about 2 months now. I'm a TJ guy, and I've never had that issue on one of them. |

Water Pump is what he was refering to yes... I'd check for low coolant first, then check the thermostat - then off to the waterpump because that'll be the order of progression in repair costs |

search for "heat" because I remember a similar thread and they had their cooling system flushed and the prob went away...was probably a blockage |

I added coolant was a little low. But what I noticed after playing around with the thing for a few minutes is that with the switch set to 1, no air comes out at all. I goto 2 and it blows like crazy. Am I wrong but shouldn't it still blow air on 1?? Can someone verify this? Maybe I have a bad switch in the dash? |

I had the HVAC blower motor resistor fail on my Liberty... The fan wouldn't work on the #1 & #2 settings, but went to full power on #3 & #4. The part was less than $15.00 and I replaced it in my driveway in less than 20 minutes or so. |
