Maybe I just suck at searching but I couldnt find this covered before. Do we have a way to have ESP be turned off by default when you start your Jeep? I prefer it off in most cases and I hate having to hit that button every time :x

I talked with some of the engineers at Camp Jeep and here's what they had to say. To do it, you need to make a piece of electronics that will strobe the ESP diable line (from the button) about a second after the power is applied. If you just clip the wire, it will think the button is broke and engage ESP.

Do a search on ESP by moose and you should find some more stuff...

So you cannot hold the button for 5 sec and turn it off? Weve got an 06 grand cherokee and you can just push it to kinda turn esp off, or hold it for 5sec and it goes off all the way.

I guess the liberty is different though.. I wish we would get some snow to try this thing out in!

The programming for ESP is not configured well for the 6spd. We have issues with the ESP engaging and dogging the engine when you turn and accelerate. Can get annoying, especially when oncoming traffic is big and fast. Yes, you can just turn it off once you start it up, but then you loose the safety that it provides. Catch-22
