I put a set on about 6 month ago. I put 8000 miles and one is leaking all ready. Does this seem strange? Wonder what is a better strut? I don't feeling like changing them every six month.

OME is one of the top shocks out there. You probably wont find a better shock out there.

What lift are you running? Could be something else that is causing the shocks to fail. My OME shocks have around 15k on them and they are still going strong. Many offroad trips too. 8)

Jeepjeepster that is what I thought also, but 6 month and leaking already! I'm running the Frankenlift and have only 1 real outing at the Jeep Jamboree.

Hmm, may want to give All J's a call and see what they say. Theyve been busy lately so dont be surprised if you do not get an answer.

Call All J's, I'm sure there is a warranty on them.

Well actually I email them and Heather informed me I have to contact the ARB myself. This put me in a disadvantage. I have to take the strut off send it to Arb and wait for a replacement. I only have my Liberty to drive so it's not like I can wait a week or two to drive it, plus being to cold to work outside so I would have to take it to a garage and I'm sure they don't want to keep a bay tied up for a week or two or more. I guess I'm screwed.

Thats kinda stupid. I figured they would of sent you one no problem and let you switch them out then mail that one back or something. :?

I guess you can always buy a replacement and then send them the busted one. Maybe if you send them a copy of the receipt for the replacement you can get them to reimburse instead of sending a replacement?

I can see why companies might not want to cross-ship, because there's always a chance that there are people out there looking for something free and either make up the fact that they had a strut go, or if it went for reasons other than premature failure.

I agree Jeepjeepster but what do you do. Probably better to just buy another one and hope for the best.

Try contacting Seth at ARB and see what he says before you buy another one else where

Yea, thats a good idea.. He is usually around here purty often. PM him and see what he thinks.

Even if you did get the strut, its alot of work getting that thing outta there and all. :? Im kinda tired of taking that front suspension apart my self. I feel like Im going to wear the bolts out and it only has 23k on it.
