my brief search seemed to show (I think  ) that the TPM can't be turned off on my '05  . My question is whether the sensor will fit on a wheel from a different year Jeep? The wheels in question are still 16/7s but they are from a pre-TPM vehicle (Cherokee). I dont know what the "inside" portion of the sensor looks like therfore how much clearance it needs, some pics would great if someone has some :D ! Also, does it need any maintenance (battery) when the tires are replaced?

thanks a lot, Jon

The sensor is molded in an arc shape to follow the curvature of the inside width of the rim. The batteries should last a few years and aren't replaceable, so I wouldn't worry about them. Also, keep in mind that steel wheels will interfere with the sensors.

Called the dealer to price new sensors.......$45 and change,,EACH! I was thinking about a spare set of wheels and tires but those prices are a little steep for me
