essence of Wrangler? I think not! Why put those kind of tires on it? Makes it look like just a street worthy vehicle only. Definitely no leg room for the rear. |

Ahh the Trailhawk....my work has known about it for sometime as we make circuit boards and rubber keypads for the auto industry. We've done our share of conceptual pieces for the industry as well. We were asked to do some mock ups for some of the steering wheel controls and other things throughout the vehicle but in the end we only supplied some minor things. We got a magazine here at work that has a 4 page spreadout of the vehicle with interviews with Dieter and the Designer Nicho Vardis. It also lists specs for it, sorry didn't click on link so not sure if they have been listed but here they are: 116" wheelbase 191.2" length 77.7" width 69.3" height 3,900 lbs Weight 3.0 L diesel with Bluetec emissions system 4WD, 5spd auto 0-60mph in 9 sec 124mph Top Speed Whats also cool is the IPOD integration system in the rear of the vehicle...the only thing is, the rear can open like the Chevy Equinox (which means the roof opens too) So I'm not totally sure I would want that system exposed to the elements like that...There will also be a Medical Kit in the back as well, similar to the Xterra except in the side panel and not the rear panel with the swing gate... |

By the way this information is from Automotive News magazine Jan 8 issue.... One of the pics with the Trailhawk clay model being prepared seems to have a Liberty-esque vehicle parked behind it on the design floor...if yall can get a copy I suggest a peak...it looks nothing like what I have already seen (in other words Commander-esque). In fact it appears to utilize the very same headlights we have on our KJs now and a similar roof rail design coordinated into it... |
