Post subject:  oil pressure sending unit replacement

Well I finally just got sick of the oil light dinging on once a month because the sending unit is buggered and we had a cold snap and the stupid thing dinged everytime I stop and had the kj at an idle. Ordered the part $69can. Replaced it myself pretty easy to do actually. U need a 1 inch and 1/16 deep socket, extension and and I used a half inch drive racket. The part is brass so don't tighten the day lights out of it when u put the new one back in it will snap the brass. The sensor is located just above the oil filter on the 02 libby. Look for the electrical connection there and that is where the sensor is. Back is right off and put the new one in. Takes about 20min because it is in one of those can't see a darn thing places. Plug the electrical connection back in and your set. Take is to a mechanic that would be $70/Can thank you. Just thought I would write this incase someone has the same problem and wants to tackel it themselves and save a few bucks. I actually talked to my mechanic about what was going on and he said it is prob the sensor so maybe this will help someone in the future. On yea and let the jeep cool down before starting the fix because tight fit hot motor not good  .
