I am just wondering what the difference between an 04 Grand Cherokee EVIC is VS an 04 Liberty EVIC? If I have an 04 GC EVIC why cant I install that in my 06 Liberty? Any thoughts? Suggestions? I understand that before 04 EVICS (03, 02, etc...) the temperature wont display right in my 06...But other than that whats the real difference between them? Will it work? Thanks! |

I have an 04 EVIC installed in my 05 CRD, all features work fine. If you get one with TPMS, you need to make sure you get the wheel sensors that match your EVIC. My TPMS dash light doesn't work but the tire pressures display in the EVIC. There are some other sensors needed to make the dash light work and I think you would also need to at least have the BCM reprogrammed (maybe even replaced), and the wheel sensors/trip sensors you need to make the dash light work will most likely not be compatible with the wheel sensors that will work with the 04 EVIC. But I'm happy with the way mine works. |
