...for us Midwest guys. Got my winch Warn x8000i came with reciever mount, front, rear and "jumper cable style" electrical connections with Warn quick disconects, steel cable and hawse. Replaced the cable with Amsteel Blue synthetic (safer with little ones running around) and the hawse with a UHMW (plastic) one. Will see how the hawse holds up. Its made from the same material as the Amsteel, so "In Theory", will not wear the cable. |

What lift are you running? Frankie in front and early 02 springs and 2.5 spacers in back. Might have to upgrade the back when my bumper is installed. Will have to see. |

hmm very nice. I have been thinking about that setup instead of the arb bumper it might be wise to get a cover on that winch synthetic rope needs to be clean or it will ware quick. Also it brakes down in sun light over time( the new stuff handles the uv a lot better tho) |

I was thinking about a trail that goes up above the cave. It's steeper than I would want to drive up, but would be a great test |

My wife is gona make a cover (although she doesn't know it yet). I'll only have it mounted for wheeling trips, another nice feature of the hitch mount. Will have to see how the clearence thing works out though. I've buried the front shackle I had on it a couple of times so I'll have to be a bit careful. The RL bumper should help some since the hitch mount should be a bit higher. I'm thinkin Ky should be fun |

Nice set up Don. Did the extra weight of the winch cause much sag in the springs? |

I have the heavy duty OME springs up front so the winch didn't affect the front at all. The fact that the synthetic rop and plastic fairlead drop about 20 lbs off the weight of the winch doesn't hurt either. DonC |

Did you buy the winch without a line? What was the cost of the synthetic? looks great! I am in the market for a winch. I really like your set-up. I bought a front hitch, can't afford the ARB now. need other stuff including a warn 8000i, tent, lights and so much more ie: larger pay check. SO many to buy! |

The winch came with a steel rope and hawse. The synthetic rope and hawse were $185. Basically paid $700 for the whole setup, used of course. |
