I don't have them but I think with headers you need to have other modifications to take full advantage of the potential gains. The headers alone might add a few HP, but do they take away from the low end? How is that power made back up? These would really come in handy if KB would have marketed their S/C a little better. Just my thoughts though.... |

Those won't work on the older KJ's,maybe 05-07 but not 02-04,KY Liberty tried those and the flange is the wrong style for the older KJ's. |

Those will only fit the '05 and up. JBA currently has my set of headers and are trying to redesign them to fit the '01-'04 by this summer for my next round of upgrades. If not, I guess I'll have to get a custom exhaust shop to make them fit. That's why I didn't get the ceramic. With as many times as I've been the guinee pig for performance in a Liberty, it really was no surprise that the headers I had been trying to get for over 5 years wouldn't fit. Just wish someone with an older KJ out in CA would let them make measurements to speed the process up. I could have custom headers designed and installed for less than the cost for me to take my Libby out there. |

KY Liberty: As I told you before, I already install them in My 2003 Liberty, and they just fit perfectly, and I had only one problem that the Y pipe going to the Borla system is deferent, so I asked one shop to do it for me, and it is done, and I am happy with it's performance, Note that I have early built 2003 Liberty, and I am from Middle East, so I don't know if you have deferent engine. BTW. When I get the FastMan TB, I'll go to dyno's it to see the deferent. |

Virtually everyone around here is afraid to try to do anything that isn't bolt on. Most the shops around here won't even install bolt on headers. It's next to impossible to even get them to install one size larger tires. I don't need the headers until the next round of upgrades this summer, so it's ok with me to wait a couple more months since I've already waited over 5 years. Have you run your Libby on the dyno? Just be prepared to be dissapointed. Especially if you're still running the stock computer. The Libby is already limited in power in stock form by the computer. |

Why? It seems got more power than before and yesterday I tested it on the highway too, because before I can not reach 180 Km, now I am reaching 210 Km easily. Any way my transmission has 13 bolts, and I can not install the torque converter anymore, so I'll ask Dan for flash, cams and TB. I'll dyno it this Thursday and let you know. |

Just because the stock Libby's tend to put a lot less power to the ground than 20% of 210 hp. It's difficult to do a good 3rd gear pull with the stock 45rfe transmission. It really wants to kick down into the alternate 2nd. Not sure about the 42rle. The torque management keeps your peak numbers down also. So your mods won't show as good of results until you get the PCM flash. Doing before and after dynos, with computer resets and some driving in between can be very helpful though. Just trying to warn you that if you haven't ever run on that specific dyno, you can get results that look dissappointing if you compare to the manufacturer claims instead of previous dynos of your vehicle on that dyno with the same driver. It will be good to get some base numbers before you start doing bigger upgrades likes cams. You always want to keep your dyno testing consistent. |
