I'm not sure if this is a Canadian model thing or not but my fan switch for the heat/ac goes from 1-4, there is no off. But if I have it on 1 it might as well be off, it barley blows any air at all, is this roughly how everyone elses is?

Yes, they all go from 1-4. Why would there be two ways to turn it off? :?

I use the fan setting 1 very often. Sometimes I wish it would go even lower..

That's why it's setting number 1, or the low position! You have 3 higher settings to choose from if you don't like that one.

maybe I need to rephrase my question. I realize it goes from 1-4 and that 1 is the lowest and that I can turn it up if I please. My real question was that my #1 barley blows any air, far less than a #1 on any other vehicle I have ever seen, is this how everyone else finds theirs or do I have an issue with my resistor.

I wouldn't worry about it. Level 1 on mine is very slow too. It's kind of a "maintenance" level just to keep air moving. As long as the other levels are working you should be fine. I hardly ever use level 4 because it'll cook me out of the vehicle unless I turn the temp setting down.

I use the #1 setting when I'm on a road trip for longer than 1/2 hour when the interior of the Liberty is heated (or cooled) enough to not require a whole lot of air.

for initial cooling or heating, I'll put the fan on #3 for a few minutes and then to the #2 setting until the cabin reaches a nice equalibrium.
