I was wondering if anyone had done the White Rim trail in Utah with a stock KJ. I was thinking of traveling to Utah soon, but won't be doing a lift until my Jeep is out of warranty. What other trails would be possible in the area? Thanks |

You might be able to find more info to help you decide right here>> http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=12918 Drag your KJ out to the Moab 07 Lost Jeep Safari and we will help you find a bunch of cool trails to do in a stock KJ. |

That is a really helpful link. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go in April. I may have missed it, but I didn't see in the postings any info about the ability of a stock KJ doing the trail. |

IIRC there is a link in there to some great pics and info about the trail. It was a full size Dodge doing it I beleive. Anyhow, I think a stocker could handle it but I wouldn't do it alone. I would also make sure to have EVERYTHING you could possibly need while running the trail as I heard it is a long one and requires camping on the trail overnight. I think MOOSE might know more about it and could let you know about doing it in a stock KJ. Sorry you can't make the trip in April. |

I know for sure you can do Tower Arch in a stock KJ. It would help if you had gas tank skid because some of the steps come close to the gas tank. |

I did the White Rim last May on a supported mountain bike trip. I saw nothing that a completely stock Libby couldn't handle with ease. More than 99% of the trail can be accomplished in 2WD. |

You may want to consider The Maze district if you're going to have 2 jeeps. Look at doing a trip to the Doll House. Are you just jeeping, or are you considering hiking/backpacking as well? I recommend this book: http://www.utahtrails.com/StandingRocks.html. A friend of mine who visits Moab regularly thinks this is one of the best jeep trails in the park. He did an out-n-back to the Doll House in a day in a rented, lifted jeep. It came back with damage, and he's very experienced (but when he went with his own rig, no damages, but took 3 days). |
