| Post subject: | transfer case, 4x4 dash light issue? |
Last night, driving home from work in the snow, I stayed in either 4-hi or 4-lo depending on the size of the hill I had to drive on. The dash lights worked fine registering what 4x4 system I was using. This morning, the dash isn't registering 4x4 at all. 4 part-time and 4low lights will not come on. The transfer case is working fine as far as putting me into the appropriate 4x4 mode. 4-hi works, 4-lo works. Just the dash lights don't. All the other dash lights appear to be working fine. E-brake light shows up, seat-belt light is on, etc... ANyone experienced extreme cold making this happen? maybe a little twitch on the t-case somewhere that's frozen? |

Check the T-case switch first - then the insturment cluster itself... I had an issues like the a long time ago, but mine was with the Full-Time light under the tachometer. |

if you hold in the odo reset and turn the key to on it will run a light and needle test see if the lights work then. if they do it may be froze on the switch |

GHot in the car after work today and the part-time light was on. Switched to 4-lo to make sure and that came on too. Must have just been snowed up or something on the t-case. |
