Post subject:  Ball Joint Recal Problems, now I got a banging noise!

At full lock when the suspension is under pressure, I get a LOUD bang/thudding noise from the front end. This never happened before the recal, and I was hoping someone else had this happen and got it resolved cause I need to get this stopped quick! I wonder if it could be the CV pulling apart and banging into the front case? Anyway, its bad, so please get me input. Monday I can calling the dealer to tell them, but I can't get it to happen every time I turn full lock.... grumble...

thanks
stephen

Maybe you are hearing the sound of your frustrated head banging against a wall? :?
 But seriously, I would make sure they at least check all the nuts and bolts in case they left something loose.

I agree with JJ - when I put my lift on I was plagued for a long time with a noise coming from my front end, mostly when I took turns or had one wheel over a bump, turned out to be a loose bolt on my swaybar. I would definitely have them check to make sure everything is tight.

I'm guessing it's the coil spring shifting in it's perch.

Well, if it were something like a loose bolt or two, I wouldn´t be surprised, I have had issues with the dealer I used for the recall before, but it was the closest to my college and I don´t have time to miss college.
Thanks ya´ll, I will go have a look.

I think you have the diagnosis right - a loose bolt or maybe a left out bolt - check it out - it could be bad
