We put a lift on the KJ a while back...quite a while back...and I never got around to getting a front-end alignment done. I know, I know...stupid. You should see how the stock Suckyears look after a few thousand post-lift, pre-alignment miles! Anyway, I'm trying to figure out what I should be paying for a company to align the front end, take 4 tires that I already own (thanks Richard), put them on the truck, and balance everything. I have one shop saying $135 or so for the alignment alone. Is that normal? |

Well back in SD a alignment cost about $49.95,here in CO the cheapest I've found is $69.99.$135 sounds high, you only can align the front, the rear is none adjustable, make sure you get quated for a front end alignment only not a 4-wheel alignment. |

Holy crap! I was thinking around $30 or so. Ive never gotten an alignment that cost more than that. I MIGHT pay $135 to have 4 tire mounted, balanced, and also get an alignment. That would still be a tad high for me though. |

Thanks guys. That's what I was thinking too. I was looking for a little backup for my choice to not go to that shop. Too bad too 'cause it's a clean place that's right on my path to work. Oh well. |

An alignment should only be 35 to 40 Bones. When I had new shoes put on CRD I went to Firestone and purchased the lifetime alignment. Give em a call. |

make sure you get a front end alignment with a rear wheel reference. While the rear wheels are not adjustible, they are able to adjust the front wheels to get the vehicle in spec. if the rear wheels are out. |

I got mine for $139 at National Tire and Battery (NTB) good for 5 years, as many times and when ever I request it. Includes balancing & rotating. Had to get it, after the last LBJs failed it was totally out of wack. Of course dealer maintained the " ball joint replacement won't affect alignment" stance even after I showed him a front tire wearing abnormally and drove it to illustrate the noticeable pull, they asked if I knew what crowned roads were. That was the last time I went there for maintenence - Ed Tomko Chrysler/Jeep. NTB through it on the rack and said they hadn't seen a Libby that far off before, attributed it to the damage from failed ball joint- racked everything out of kilter. It's definitely worth getting a long term package if you plan on owning the vehicle for any lenght of time. My .02, Matt |

yes... its a deal Firestone stores have...its for the life of the vehicle...so as long as you have that one vehicle you can do it as much as you want the sign / contract thing says twice a year or every 6k miles i think...but ive used it 4 times this year already sooooooo.... who knows |
