Post subject:  reciever shackle
ok i feel stupid as heck for asking this, but i ordered the crown reciever shackle reciever from rusty's. It says it has a 7/8 in. pin diameter. I did some checking and the warn version suggests a 5/8 in. pin. Did I get the wrong size for my Reese front hitch. i suck at this stuff :oops: (but lets just call it "hitch virgin")

I believe my front receiver is a 5/8 inch pin and fits both front and back.

Mine's (Mopar original) a 5/8th" pin. Though there is some play, I don't know that a 7/8th" pin would fit.

The hitch pin side should be 5/8 and the clevis pin side should be 7/8. Maybe they listed the clevis side, because I have never seen a standard receiver with anything other than a 5/8 pin.
