I have a picture on Imageshack that I want to use as an avatar. When I cut and paste the url into the window for avatars, the url shows up, then I hit submit and the url is gone! No picture! What am I doing wrong? Terry |

The photo may be too large. The Avatar photo has to be 3kb or less. |

You need to meet the 100x100 (pixel) requirement for an Avatar here... Just use a photo program to resize the picture you like, save and upload to imageshack.. Then retry the URL part. |

So how do you post one at the bottom of your post?? Some guys/gals have different pics and such. |

Same setup, but you have to use the IMG tag in your signature line... |

it if it is within the dimensions and sizes it should work. JPG 150x150, 3K (weirdly small number - especially for the pixel size  )
can you post your picture that you want to use as avatar here? BETTER YET, just go to your profile scroll down to Avatar control panel now and put this there: http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/9003 ... 6sslw1.jpg see if it works now?

Fulltimer, where is the pic that you want to use hosted? Try hosting it at Image Shack. You can custom resize right on their site. PM me if you need help. Chris |

Allright, you are not limited to that picture, just send any picture that you'd like to use, let me or anyone here try to compress and resize it as much as possible without losing image quality so you can link to that.
