The current KJ will probably end production in June or July in preperation for the switch over to the KK. The KK production line should be scheduled for August / September startup and then having first SUV's on dealer lots around middle November...

The Diesel is an Option in the Grand Cherokee. I don't know if it will make a return to the Liberty

Jeep will continue making the Liberty for at least another 5 years.

The diesel would probably come back over here as soon as they can get it to pass emissions.

They are trying to make it look like a smaller commander. They are trying to bring uniformity to the product line or somethign like that.

For the past two years DCX/Jeep has been saying that there will be a diesel option for the NEW 2008 Liberty. If it doesn’t make the 08 model, I would think 2009 would for sure follow. DCX are looking at a Mercedes diesel for the Liberty application the last I read.

Yes that is true... but with a possible sale of Chrysler away from Mercedes Benz, that throws a huge wrench in to co-developed engine sharing.

Please try to get some good shots of the front suspension bits for us. Try real hard, I want to see a headline about you in the news. "Man dragged by his feet after refusing to get out from underneath show car"

darn, I like the Liberty the way it looks. True, stock, it does lean towards "cute", but some minor appearance and functional bits makes it look really, really good in my opinion. I have a black freedom with a lift, brushguard, bike carrier, etc, and get compliments all the time

WAHOO! I'm looking forward to the bigger engine, more cargo space and same gas mileage.

lol. What parts of the suspension do you want to see? I have an idea: for the front, look under your KJ! Rear? Go find a Dodge Nitro...
