I have my hella 500's but I have been scratching my head how to mount them
and where to run the wires.

Here are a couple pics of it on my KJ:

Try doing a search on this, someone makes a couple different mounts just for roof racks, just can't remember who. :?: Maybe some one will chime in on the info you need. :?:

you could drill straight thru the bottom tube and put some eye bolts in, then mount the lights into the eye bolt. I did it on mine based on Pixeldsn's idea. It works great.

From the looks of it, you have some room in front of the basket - I would add an extra bar across in front of the basket for the lights. You can drill holes through the bar to mount the lights to (those are stud-mount, right?).

Check out my pix (see page 18 on my CarDomain site). I did the flat bar route then used eye bolts to stand them off so the backs clear the basket rails. This way they don't mount any higher than the basket.

Thanks everybody!

You got the wheels turning.

Just bought an ARB, so I am going to put the Hellas on that instead.

Probably put a wing fairing on the basket...
