OK - I need help! I am on a search for a set of the Patiot Edition decals that I believe came out in 2002!

They are no longer an "active" part - so the dealer can't do a look up by part name. But, my parts guys said, if I find the part number he can do a dealer search to try and find a dealer that has a set "on the shelf".

If you wanna see what I'm talking about check out Grant's Cardomain page - he's got 'em and I hate him for it! j/k
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2049776/1

So - if anyone has a way to track down the original part number - I'd be forever in your debt! OR if anyone has a set they wanna sell - well - that would just be FABULOUS!!!

Thanks - Sue

There's a guy on http://www.JeepKJ.com that has the Patriot decal on his KJ. I think he knows where to find more of them. Not sure if he is on LOST

Hey - I got hold of an installation guide for the WJ decal set.

http://www.metrocast.net/~dsnoyes/Patroit%20Decals.pdf

You'll see the part number for that set is 4145 - which doesn't look like a normal Jeep/Chrysler part number. If you scroll down to page 3 where it shows the windshield decal - it show the WJ part number for that as 4145-F and the Liberty part number as 4135-H. So I'm thinking the part number was 4135 for the KJ version of the decal.

Anyway - if anyone has an "in" with a dealer or any other way to track this down based on that info - I'd appreciate it!

I also saw the MFG name at the very bottom - Competition Graphics and I emailed them to see if they would have any leads or NOS in a back room somewhere!

I think I am being mean today, but I hate to tell you this, but I will do it anyway. At Camp Jeep they held a special event at the airport where a bunch of red, white and blue Jeeps were positioned to look like our Flag.

At the end they gave out the Patroit Flag decals to all that showed up, and some that weren't in the "Flag". Those things went like wild fire, I think that had four or five pallets of boxes filled with them.

I am still debating whether I am going P.O. Grant, and put them on my Liberty. Grant got his 2002 from the factory with the decals, and he get very upset when he sees other newer or non factory Patroit editions driving around!

PM me with a offer, and I will think giving them up!

I know this posts just sounds really rude, but....it's the mood I am in. I'll be my same kind self tomorrow I hope!

Al

Right, and DC is sponsoring the effort to teach Americans the words to the national anthem. Imagine that. A German company teaching Americans how to sing the national anthem. I guess the thought never crossed corporate execs' minds :D

Me personally ... whether or not the flag on your jeep is from the factory or you bought it and put the flag on yourself. I think it is awesome that there are people like you out there that want to show your support. What a way to do it by putting it on your car. You know there hundreds of people that are going to see it. Nothing wrong with that! To me anyways. I guess thats what the Airforce does to ya. Makes you love America!! I can't wait to get back! 2008 isn't coming fast enough.

Also Thank you!

So put them on the jeep dang it!

Hmm, you know ... the flag would look dang good on my white Jeep. It would go along with the spare tire cover on my wife's as well (it's the Scruffy Smiley w/ bandana). OK, you got me looking for one now :D

Well, I WAS going to say it's good to be back online, but hmm...j/k

Origin of Grant's stickers: Dad (original owner while I was in Korea) bought them on the Jeep website, had a body shop install them so he could blame someone else  Incidentally, he's put a set on his (silver) Rubi TJ as well, at least he's consistent!

Anyway, I think it'd be cool to see more patriot libertys out there, to date I only know of 3 or 4 in the nation. "Imitation is the greatest form of flattery." I'm satisfied with being one of the first, heh-heh. Neither of us has the part numbers, but I'll send a note to our connection at the dealer to try and verify that part number.

Yes, btw, I am enjoying the sunny life by the water in the bays and beaches of Alabama. Life is good 8)

more to follow,
grant

Around here in seattle we have a Papa John's pizza Liberty that is REALLY painted red, white and blue. I don't have pictures but just imagine a Jeep liberty painted red, white, and blue, instead of decals. haha

Take it easy ya'll,

ADAM

I'm looking for a set of Patriot decals for my Libby. I want to do a patriotic theme with my KJ since it's already dressed in Patriot Blue. I've searched the Internet and eBay and found nothing so far.

Hey man, it's like this: THE MORE THE MERRIER.

I will not be pawed at for my celebration of individuality, thank you very much! For your information, mine didn't come from the factory that way. This a post-purchase family tradition (Willie G's TJ on Rockcrawler.com). If I could've found the PN, I would've gladly passed it onto other "patriots."

I know it was you, Al, you broke my heart...

G

I found a website that sells decals which has some cool looking patriotic decals. Since it's almost impossible to find the authentic Patriot Edition decals the 'patriotic tear slam wrap' might be a neat alternative.

http://www.speedgraphics.net/cgi-bin/qu ... _match=yes

This page doesn't do the graphic justice. If you browse through the gallery to see pictures of the graphics on customer's vehicles you can get a better idea of how it looks.
