I’m looking for a pair for my 02 Liberty but everything I find looks kinda how you say “CHEAP”. I don’t want to buy a set and on the first rain you end up with condensation or worse a swimming pool inside your tail lights. I’m sure we’ve all seen it and they look terrible. It mostly happens to the front end aftermarket lights. So do you have any? Where did you get them? Are they holding water? Got any websites? |

How about these... I think they retail about $300 and goes for a bit less on ebay.
Black one looks OK, white is ugly. I have never seen anyone with them so far.. They are just interesting and might look good on the right jeep... |

Thanks for the link, it really is cheaper. I have seen on ebay for $280! The white ones really do look ugly, and that gold looking one on that site. Too bad they only have clear and smoke, and not the black ones.. Has anyone ever seen this on a KJ before? Wonder how they light up. |

I painted mine with VHT nite-shades cost me about 10 bucks, been on there over 2 years, and still looks good, just wax them good every couple of months. (Its a transparent black tail light lens paint), also did the front markers/turn signals. Oh the required statement "THIS PRODUCT FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY" |

WHY is there not a decent looking, black taillight kit that looks stock, just black? Even the ebay ones look white with that tacky plastic. I would really like to find those AVS covers, and if anyone has pics PLEASE forward them.... |

I have AVS covers, they don't cover that much. And I agree there is no decent looking taillights out there, I wanted all RED, again there is non, unless you work and tint it yourself. I don't like all black, since I have black KJ, red looks best against black in the rear, and clear/silver accent in the front. That's what I did. Most of the stuff on ebay have whitish edges, makes them look pretty bad against sun. They are OK in the dark. Even the ones that's supposed to have all black sides with red lenses, are not. |

Thanks, but you have the slotted ones, I was referring to the solid black ones. I do like yours though. Is it the camera, or is the plastic not match the black paint very well? (i have a black as well) |

It depends on the angle of the sun, they have been there for almost 3 years, and they faded a little.. They are cheap plastic so they fade. I wouldn't want to do anything to limit my lights any further, heck I wanna get rid of these if I can find solid red tails, or if I can buy a used set from someone to tint them myself.. You know you can do it yourself, donnie shared his info with us, and I found a few topics explain how to do it. http://gallery.jeepprojects.com/details ... age_id=125 Here close up. Other than that they don't match %100 anymore. Check these links, looks fairly easy.. I already got bunch of stuff, sticker, 3M, and even JB Weld on my tails, so I cannot do it on mines (just yet) http://hondaswap.com/~mike/tails/ http://www.corrado-club.ca/mods/tailtints.html http://www.serious-photography.com/tails/ http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... light=tint |
