If you ar using your Jeep KJ as a toad, how did you handle the wiring for the lights? Blue Ox light wring kit or did you make your own? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have used the KJ as a toad starting with the 02 I had. I had the dealer that sold me the baseplate install the wiring.

The one I bought was used as a toad. The tow bar mounts and wiring is still in it. I was going to remove it all. If you want I can take detailed pictures of it as I remove it and the whole setup would be forsale (no towbar, just the sockets and mounts and stuff.)

Let me know if interested.

It will give me an excuse to take the front of my Jeep apart.

Bob

The base plate for my 2002 would NOT fit my 2005. So, I would contact the manufacturer and find out what years it will fit.

Look and see which brand you have and call the maker. It will be a Blue Ox most likely.

Or go to their web site and look up the year and model you will need.
