I'll be taking the dash apart this weekend and i'm looking for some pointers. Besides the screw in the little cubby in front of the shifter what other screws should I look for, I need to get behind the cigarette lighter first off, i'm installing my CB finally and integrating it into the sound system perhaps or just going to power it through the cigarette lighter. Anyone got any pointers for the tear-down or the way i'm going to install the CB?? THANKS!! -Scott |

Maybe look for that adobe file that has the parts catalog for the libby. If you can't find the thread, I can e-mail you the one I saved to my laptop for my 06 libby. PM me with your e-mail address if you would like me to e-mail it to you, other than that, check out the elcetronics forum, I'm sure someone has had their dash apart in that forum and can offer pointers. You want to integrate the CB in the speakers/sound system? That sounds cool...I'd like to see how you do that. Def. get some pics. I am horrible with electronics...and I was having issues with my CB a while back...but while messing around the other day I figured out where to hook the CB power up in the fuse panel on the drivers side. I already found a ground, so the wires will travel in the same general area. I was having issues powering the CB while the KJ was running, my CB kept blowing the fuse in the power cord. I can get some pics of what/where I powered the CB off of...but I'll be gone till next Weds. so I can get some when I get back. |

Hey, I have an 05 Limited and pulled out the radio a few times. First I removed the cubby hole screw. Then I used a credit card to pop out the trim panel that surrounds the radio, air controls, and cubby hole. I used the credit card to pop the top of the panel and then could pull the whole panel off with my hands. You have a good view into the guts after the panel is removed. |

I just read your post again and see you're looking at the cigarette lighter. You may find the power section of my post on installing a Sirius head unit useful... http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... highlight= Good luck! |
