so, my friend in his 73 bronco calls me this afternoon, as though he were reading my mind....says lets go get muddy....he's the guy that GAVE me a 87 YJ.....so we headed off, him and his kids in the bronc, me and my son in the wrangler....huge deep puddle right at the entrance to the trail...we threw mud on the trails for about half an hour, then headed for the exit....well, i swamped the stock YJ trying to get off the trail!! what a hoot! he couldnt get past me, so we were forming a plan when a young guy we know drives up in his saab....he laughs and offers assisitance...the dang kid yanks my jeep outa 24+ inches of water, spinning and nearly smoking his front tires in the process....meanwhile, my other son is on his way with the KJ....did i mention that the YJ was hydrolocked?
anyway, we all change vehicles and i towed the dead wrangler home with the faithfull liberty!! got the water out after taking a shower from the gushing spark plug openings.....all is good! it's a jeep thing!!!!
