Post subject:  Upper Stut Mount/Plate

Any of you guys ever have bad/worn out upper strut plates? Reason I ask is because in 4 weeks i'm installing my rusty's coil lift. I currently have all kinds of noise in my front end. I'm replacing the lower control arm bushings and clevis bushings. Installing Al's Arms because my upper control arm bushings are shot. The struts and coils are being replaced with the lift. The only thing left is the upper strut plate. I dont want to spend another $120 if i dont have to. I wont know if they're bad untill i tear it apart. Do you guys usually reuse the old ones or replace them? thanks!

I do not believe a part like that can wear out. Its just a steel plate. The spring isolator on top of the spring and the bushing where you bolt the spring assembly together could dry out and cause some squeaking though.

I've got some heavy clunking going on in the front end. I know the clevis bushing is in bad shape maybe that's where most of my noise is. One control arm bushing is bad too. I'm gonna replace all those and take my chances on reusing the upper strut plate. thanks
